Global Citizen’s Conference on DESD 2010 Information

Based on the declaration of the Global Citizen's Conference on the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD) 2009, this year’s conference aims to further promote ESD-related activities in Japan, strengthen the networks among multiple actors and make ESD visible in our everyday life. The conference will also provide a space for dialogues and interactions toward an expanded ESD movement in Asia. A variety of good ESD practices by diverse actors in Asia including educational institutes, local communities, private sectors and non-profit organizations will be showcased. This will give us an opportunity to explore how we can collaborate together as a “Global Citizen” in Asia to build a sustainable society toward the end of DESD of 2014.
